To look up a charity, paid solicitor or solicitation notice:
1. Visit elicense.ct.gov
2. Select "Lookup a License"
3. Select the drop down menu of license types, select "Charity"
4. Enter the organization's name and hit "Search"
5. Select "Detail" to see more information about the search result.
All registered active organizations are listed including those that have claimed an exemption from having to register. A charity should be on file with DCP before it solicits contributions in the state.
