1. Notice of Scoping for Cromwell Industrial Park
Municipality where proposed project is located: Cromwell
Address of Project Location: Route 3
Project Description: An Environmental Impact Evaluation (EIE) under CEPA will be prepared for this project. The Town of Cromwell is working with the Department to explore the possibility of creating an industrial park on a tract of land bounded to the east by CT Route 99 and to the west by Interstate 91, to the north by commercial/industrial development in the town of Rocky Hill and to the south by municipally owned open space. A proposed industrial park in this area would consist of approximately 456 acres of land within the project area located along the east and west sides of Route 3. The development is expected to include construction of roads, utility infrastructure, and wetland mitigation as needed, and other associated improvements. The funds will be used for pre-planning activities, as well as, strategic infrastructure improvements for the private development of the industrial park.
