1. Notice of Scoping for Bolton Lake Sanitary Sewer Extension
Municipalities where proposed project would be located: Bolton, Vernon and Manchester
Project Description: The project entails extension of sanitary sewers from Manchester to the Bolton Lake area to provide sewer service to homes surrounding the lake located in the towns of Bolton and Vernon. The purpose of the proposed action is to resolve a pollution problem caused by inadequate treatment of sewage from substandard septic systems in the Bolton Lake area.

Written comments from the public are welcomed and will be accepted until the close of business on: October 7, 2005
Any person can ask the sponsoring agency to hold a Public Scoping Meeting by sending such a request to the address below. If a meeting is requested by 25 or more individuals, or by an association that represents 25 or more members, by September 16, 2005, the Department of Environmental Protection must schedule a Public Scoping Meeting.

1. Notice of EIE for Brookfield Sanitary Sewer Extension
Municipality where project is proposed: Brookfield
Project Description: The project involves a sanitary sewer extension from the town’s existing sewer located in Gray’s Bridge Road that will collect wastewater generated at Stony Hill Village, Whisconier Village and Cedarbrook Condominiums to resolve pollution problems caused by failing septic systems. The project requires the construction of three wastewater pumping stations and approximately 17,000 linear feet of sanitary sewers to service the three condominiums.
