Municipality where proposed project would be located: Tolland Project Description: The proposed project involves construction of sanitary sewers to serve the Tolland town center, Tolland Middle School, and Gateway Corridor (CT Route 195 adjoining the intersection with Interstate 84). Sewers will address identified and potential water pollution problems due to poor soils. Capacity in the Gateway Corridor will be sized to accommodate existing needs and projected growth consistent with both the town’s and the state’s plan of conservation and development. Wastewater will be conveyed to Vernon for treatment and disposal. The Vernon Water Pollution Control Facility was designed to accept and treat flows from Tolland, and has adequate capacity to do so without need for expansion. Municipality where proposed project would be located: Hebron Address of Possible Project Location: Southeast of Route 85 & Route 66 intersection Project Description: STEAP funds in the amount of $500,000 are targeted to assist in the construction of a new road and utilities to access the Town's new planned mixed-use business expansion area, within the Hebron Town Center, called the Village Green District. The town is working with private property owners / developers to develop the 190 acre site directly adjacent to the Town’s General Business District along Route 66. The project area, which is predominantly undeveloped, is located south of Route 66, east of Route 85, north of Kinney Road and west of Millstream Road. A master plan is being developed for the Village Green District with land uses ranging from retail, commercial, light industrial, residential, public open and recreational spaces. State funds are proposed for use toward constructing the initial 1000 feet of road and utilities as a public incentive for private investment.

Municipality where proposed project might be located:University of Connecticut - Storrs Campus, Mansfield, CT Address of Possible Project Location: Stadium Road Project Description: The University of Connecticut proposes to construct a multi-purpose practice facility at the site of existing tennis courts on the Storrs Campus, east of Stadium Road. The Burton Family Football Complex will be an approximately 85,000 square foot (SF) building housing offices and facilities for the UCONN Football Program, including public spaces, coaching staff offices and seminar rooms, team meeting room, strength and athletic training rooms, and locker rooms and showers. The approximately 80,000 SF Intramural, Recreational and Intercollegiate Facilities Complex will consist primarily of an indoor artificial turf field. The project will include the demolition of twelve (12) existing tennis courts and their relocation east-southeast of the existing soccer fields and ice arena. Municipality where project is proposed: Farmington Address of Project Location: 271 Scott Swamp Road Project Description: The Board of Trustees of Community-Technical Colleges and Tunxis Community College (TCC) propose to expand the current Campus facilities in a two-phase development process. Phase I, scheduled to begin construction in 2004, includes the construction of two new buildings. Building 600 will house academic and laboratory space, and “wrap” around existing Building 300 at the northwest corner of the Campus. Building 700 will house a new library, student amenity space consisting of a gallery, cafe and atrium, as well as a career center, student development center, and student counseling office. Phase I is scheduled for completion in 2006. Phase II, scheduled to begin construction in 2008, will include new construction and renovation to existing structures. Building 800 will be constructed as an auditorium. Classroom and student service space in Building 300 will be renovated. Building 200 will be demolished to make way for the new Building 900, which will house faculty offices, administrative offices, the business office, financial aid, business and community services, and records storage.
