Attorney General Tong Files Amicus Brief in Support of Florida Law that Prohibits Individuals Under 21 from Purchasing Firearms
Attorney General William Tong today joined a coalition of 21 attorneys general filing an amicus brief with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit urging that court to affirm the lower court’s decision to uphold Florida’s law prohibiting individuals under the age of 21 from purchasing firearms.

Attorney General William Tong and United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut Vanessa Roberts Avery today announced a $1.7 million settlement agreement with Family Dentistry of Bridgeport, Family Dentistry of Hartford, Family Dentistry of Stamford (collectively known as the Family Dentistry Entities) and owners Stanislav Gintautas, DDS and Tatiana Agababaeva, DDS, resolving allegations that they violated state and federal False Claims Act statutes through prohibited fees paid to a “patient recruiting” company

Attorney General William Tong today announced an agreement with Northwell Health, Inc. and Northwell Healthcare, Inc. (collectively “Northwell”) and Nuvance Health (Nuvance) to preserve labor and delivery services at Sharon Hospital and to strengthen access to local healthcare in Western Connecticut, resolving the antitrust investigation into the proposed affiliation between the two hospital systems.

Attorney General Tong Joins Lawsuit Against RealPage Inc. for Alleged Antitrust Violations
Attorney General William Tong and the United States Department of Justice, together with the Attorneys General of North Carolina, California, Colorado, Minnesota, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington, filed a civil antitrust lawsuit today against RealPage Inc. for its unlawful scheme to decrease competition among landlords in apartment pricing and to monopolize the market for commercial revenue management software that landlords use to price apartments.

Attorney General William Tong announced a lawsuit against SunRun Inc., SunRun Installation Services, Bright Planet Solar, Inc., Elevate Solar Solutions LLC and salespeople Dakota Grumet and Sierra Howes alleging deceptive, unfair and otherwise unlawful sales of solar panel systems, including locking consumers into long-term contracts without consent by various means, including impersonating consumers, and installing non-functional systems.
