Welcome to the Connecticut State Contracting Standards Board (SCSB)

We oversee ethics and fairness in CT State procurement and contracting. Our duty is to ensure State of CT contracts are open, economical, and efficient. They also must follow all State and Federal guidelines.

Through regular audits and reviews, the SCSB monitors:

  • Whether state agencies are complying with purchasing rules and regulations
  • Disputes over State contract solicitations and awards
  • Existing CT services being taken over by private companies
  • Disqualification of contractors, bidders, or proposers
  • Training on procurement and contracting rules and best practices

We also provide training on rules and best practices for procurement and contracting.
