PURA is convening a grid modernization webinar series to identify and explore lessons learned from regulatory and planning models in other jurisdictions and to facilitate stakeholder engagement. Presentations are for informational purposes and do not imply PURA endorsement of particular programs or approaches. Interested stakeholders may submit suggestions for future webinar topics and/or speakers through correspondence in Docket No. 17-12-03, PURA Investigation into the Distribution System Planning Practices of the Electric Distribution Companies.

The first webinar in the series featured a discussion on OpenEEmeter, an open source software platform for calculating energy efficiency, developed by Open Energy Efficiency, Inc. (OpenEE, Inc.). Matt Golden, Chief Executive Officer of OpenEE, Inc., gave an overview of OpenEEmeter and discussed its application in other states.
