Gov. Malloy: Agreement With Amazon Will Create Hundreds of Jobs
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Amazon today announced that over the next two years, Amazon will invest $50 million in Connecticut and create hundreds of new full-time jobs. The Governor made the announcement at the same time that he announced an agreement under which Amazon will begin collecting sales tax revenue in the state.

Gov. Malloy: Continued Investment in Turnaround Schools Will Help Our Children Compete
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that his upcoming biennial budget proposal will include an expansion of the program created in the 2012 education reform package – the Commissioner's Network – that aims to turnaround some of the lowest performing schools in the state in order to help thousands of students receive a quality education and close the achievement gap. Gov. Malloy: First of Two Increases in State's Minimum Wage Scheduled to Take Effect Wednesday
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today reminded Connecticut residents that the first of two scheduled increases in the state’s minimum wage is slated to take effect this week as a result of a new law the Governor signed earlier this year, which requires the state’s minimum wage to increase from $8.25 to $8.70 on January 1, 2014, followed by a second increase on January 1, 2015 to $9.00.
