  Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman today announced that the state has secured a $6.7 million federal grant to help create the Connecticut Health Insurance Exchange, which by 2014 will offer individuals and small businesses a variety of coverage options.

Malloy will give remarks at the graduation ceremony for Let’s Get Ready Stamford, a 9-week SAT preparation and college counseling non-profit program staffed by volunteers. The program seeks to expand access to college for high school students of all socioeconomic backgrounds by providing free SAT prep courses and mobilizing them to achieve success in college admissions. Across the nation, the program has guided more than 10,000 under-served students through the college process, increasing SAT scores on average by 100 points.
