GOV. MALLOY: LOCAL SHELTER INFO AVAILABLE AT HURRICANE IRENE WEBSITE
(HARTFORD, CT) - Governor Dannel P. Malloy this afternoon let Connecticut residents know that local shelter information is available at the state's Hurricane Irene website - http://ct.gov/irene .
"I have urged everyone who is in a flood-prone area to evacuate," said Gov. Malloy. "Residents can now find shelter information, as well as the most recent weather update and links to live streaming press briefings, on our Hurricane Irene ( http://ct.gov/irene ) website."
The new Hurricane Irene Shelter Information link will provide current information on local shelters. It is updated every two hours by 2-1-1.
