The Connecticut Medal of Merit is a state's award issued to members of the Armed Forces of the state for meritorious performance over the course of a career or for a significant singular action.
Section 27-73 of the Connecticut General Statutes states that The Adjutant General and two officers of field grade or above, shall constitute a board to receive recommendations, through military channels for the award of the medal of merit to any member of the armed forces of the state who has distinguished himself by exceptionally meritorious conduct in performing outstanding service while a member of the armed forces of the state and to make such awards as the board finds suitable.
