The Way We Do Business - Lean Showcase
For three years, CT state agencies have assembled at the capitol building to share process improvement efforts and success stories. This year’s State Wide Lean Showcase was held on March 30th, from 10 to 1 in the North Lobby of the State Capitol with the theme “The Way We Do Business.” Eighteen state agencies were on site to exhibit how Lean thinking has changed the way their agencies do business. Also, agency representatives answered questions about applying Lean in a government context. The event was open to the public and took place during a busy/well-traveled time of year at the Capitol. Couple that with the fact that Lean is a topic of particular interest and the result was a very well attended event! Governor Malloy both attended the event and provided remarks.
DSS participated for the third time and this year the department’s display was Leanopoly “Lean is not a game…it’s the way we do business”.
