Governor Rell: State Awards $9.8 Million In Stem Cell Research Grants
   Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced that the state has awarded $9.8 million in grants to support nearly two dozen stem cell research projects by scientists at the University of Connecticut and at Yale.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
The National Institute of Health released the final Guidelines for Human Stem Cell Research on Monday, July 6, 2009.  The Guidelines are available at http://stemcells.nih.gov/policy/pages/2009guidelines.aspx
 
 
 
 
Verification Form Amended: The Verification Form required by Connecticut General Statute Sec. 19a-32d(d)(3) was updated to reflect the amendments made by Public Act 08-80.  This form is effective October 1, 2008.
 
 
 
This report was published pursuant to Connecticut General Statute Sec. 19a-32f (g) which states that, not later than June 30, 2007, and annually thereafter until June 30, 2015, the Stem Cell Research Advisory Committee shall report, in accordance with section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the Governor and the General Assembly on (1) the amount of grants-in-aid awarded to eligible institutions from the Stem Cell Research Fund, (2) the recipients of such grants-in-aid, and (3) the current status of stem cell research in the state.
