Acquisition

On March 18, 2022, Vanguard Group, Inc., Malvern, Pennsylvania, and its subsidiaries and affiliates collectively known as Vanguard, filed an acquisition statement pursuant to Section 36a-184 of the Connecticut General Statutes for the acquisition of more than 10% of the stock of Webster Financial Corporation, the holding company of Webster Bank, a national bank headquartered in Waterbury, Connecticut.

Field of Membership Expansion

On March 16, 2022, Trumbull Credit Union, Inc., a Connecticut credit union, filed a request for approval to amend its bylaws and expand its field of membership pursuant to Sections 36a-437a(h)(3) and 36a-438a(d)(1) of the Connecticut General Statutes to add residents of Trumbull, Fairfield, Easton, Bridgeport, Monroe, Shelton, Stratford, Milford, Orange, Derby and Newtown.
