State Opioid Response Grant Prevention Programs
DMHAS Prevention and Health Promotion Division has secured funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, State Opioid Response (SOR) Grant to administer and implement the following prevention programs, partnerships and collaborations to address the opioid crises in Connecticut.
CT Opioid Settlement Advisory Committee
The CT Opioid Settlement Advisory Committee consists of state and local government experts, health care professionals, individuals and families with lived experiences, and a leader in racial equity in public health. The committee, in consultation with the Attorney General and relevant state agencies and stakeholders, will develop an investment plan and maintain transparency in the use of all opioid settlement funds.
Policy and Governmental Affairs
The Legislative Unit is responsible for directing the Department's legislative and regulatory program and for assisting the Commissioner in the performance of executive and administrative duties involving both legislative and regulatory policies and programs.

The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) today released aggregate data of the number of laboratory confirmed cases of COVID-19 of patients identified within its state-operated inpatient facilities as well as reported laboratory confirmed cases of staff across the DMHAS system.
DMHAS Launches Adult Crisis Telephone Intervention and Options Network
DMHAS in partnership with the United Way of Connecticut, today announced the launch of the Adult Telephone Intervention and Options Network (ACTION) line for adults 18 years of age or older who are in the community and experiencing a mental health or emotional crisis for which an immediate response may be required.
DMHAS Employee Tests Positive for COVID-19
The Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) announced today that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual is an employee at the Connecticut Valley Hospital (CVH) in Middletown and last reported to work on March 10, 2020.
