Career Development & In-Service Training - Training Opportunities
DMHAS recognizes the importance of addressing underage drinking in communities where young people live. In collaboration with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), resources are available to communities to implement strategies to reduce underage alcohol use and its harmful effects.
Partnership for Success 2015 (PFS)
The Partnerships For Success (PFS) 2015 funds 8 community coalitions to implement community-based strategies that prevent underage drinking and prescription drug use and abuse by implementing the Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF).
State Opioid Response Grant Prevention Programs
DMHAS Prevention and Health Promotion Division has secured funding from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, State Opioid Response (SOR) Grant to administer and implement the following prevention programs, partnerships and collaborations to address the opioid crises in Connecticut.
Connecticut Alcohol and Drug Policy Council (ADPC)
The Connecticut Alcohol and Drug Policy Council (ADPC) is a legislatively mandated body comprised of representatives from all three branches of State government, consumer and advocacy groups, private service providers, individuals in recovery from addictions, and other stakeholders in a coordinated statewide response to alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD) use and abuse in Connecticut.

LiveLOUD
LiveLOUD was launched to prevent, discourage and destigmatize opioid addiction by reaching those who have been most directly impacted by the opioid crisis and connecting them with the necessary treatment, support and resources so they may begin their path of recovery.
