Welcome! Fall hunting season is upon us, and there has never been a better time to get outdoors and experience Connecticut’s natural resources. Hunting offers a truly unique outdoors experience that not only allows participants to harvest their own sustainable, free range, naturally fed meat, but is also vital to wildlife conservation and restoration in our state. Revenue generated from hunting license sales allows the Wildlife Division to maintain a diversity of habitats, study game species, and provide instruction to new hunters! Many of these efforts also benefit nongame species, including songbirds, reptiles, amphibians, and many invertebrates.
