  • Sport License Suspension Guidelines

    In accordance with Connecticut General Statute (C.G.S.) 26-61, the payment of a fine, forfeiture of a bond or a plea or judgement of guilty for fishing, hunting and trapping violations may result in the suspension of all sport fishing, hunting and trapping licenses and privileges.

  • State Environmental Conservation Police Who We Are

    The Connecticut Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police is comprised of Conservation Officers stationed throughout Connecticut. EnCon Police responsibilities include hunting, fishing and boating enforcement, criminal enforcement, emergency response and public safety patrols in our state parks, forests and campgrounds, homeland security missions, port security checks and patrolling public watershed properties as an anti-terrorism measure; serving as the primary backup agency for the United States Coast Guard on Long Island Sound for search and rescue, the patrol element of Connecticut’s shellfish program; boating accident investigation, and conducting boating patrols on Connecticut’s state waterways.
