Governor's Arts Awards

Overview

Established in 1978, the Governor’s Arts Awards recognize remarkable Connecticut individuals and organizations for excellence and lifetime achievement in the arts. More than 140 artists, arts organizations, patrons, businesses and individuals have been honored for their dedication to the arts and culture in Connecticut.

In 2014, the Governor's Patron of the Arts Awards were established to reaffirm the value of philanthropy for the arts in Connecticut and to recognize corporations, organizations, foundations and individuals for their generosity and support of the arts.
