USE THE COVERAGE VERIFICATION SERVICE
The Coverage Verification Service (CVS), also known as Proof of Coverage (POC) search, enables you to quickly see whether or not a business operating in the State of Connecticut has traditional workers’ compensation insurance coverage through a licensed insurance company. The service also provides access to basic details of an employer's policy coverage.
Notes:
- Coverage information is provided by the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) and reported to the Workers’ Compensation Commission.
- Information is provided for employers that have bought a workers’ compensation insurance policy.
- Information does not include coverage for employers who are self-insured or insured through a mutual self-insurance organization.
- When searching, please:
- confirm the spelling of the employers’s name
- note that certain words are ignored (such as ‘an’, ‘or’, and ‘the’)
- note that certain special characters are ignored such as hyphens, commas, slashes, and other punctuation marks
