Putnam Science Academy Transcript Requests
At the end of the 2025-2026 school year, Putnam Science Academy (PSA) closed without prior notice to students, families, or staff. Furthermore, the owner of the school transferred custodianship of student records to the Connecticut State Department of Education (“CSDE.”) Although the CSDE had no statutory duty to assume custody of such records, given our concerns about the students who the CSDE recognized would need such documentation in order to transfer to other secondary schools or pursue their respective, post-secondary aspirations, the CSDE assumed physical custody of the relevant PSA documents. The CSDE also entered into an agreement with PowerSchool under which the CSDE paid PSA’s outstanding invoices and PowerSchool provided the electronic student data it had been maintaining for PSA, which has now been downloaded by the CSDE.
PSA students may submit a request by completing the following survey at the link below. Please note that pursuant to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, 20 U.S.C. Section 1232g and the regulations promulgated thereunder, the CSDE must verify the identities of those individuals requesting transcripts. This survey allows you to upload appropriate identification in a secure manner to protect the confidentiality of your records.
