Teacher of the Year Ceremony
Due to inclement weather, the Teacher of the Year Ceremony has been postponed to December 16, 2025 from 5-7pm. Doors will open at 4pm. The Ceremony will take place at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, and the order of events will remain the same.

Federal Awards

The Office of Management and Budget’s 2024 Uniform Grants Guidance Revision included new thresholds for the requirement of Federal Single Audits:

  • For fiscal years beginning on or after October 1, 2024, entities that have federal award expenditures totaling $1,000,000 or more are required to have a federal single audit.
  • For fiscal years beginning prior to October 1, 2024, entities that have federal award expenditures totaling $750,000 or more are required to have a federal single audit.
  • Entities receiving federal awards that do not meet the applicable expenditure threshold must submit an Audit Exemption Notification Form to the Office of Internal Audit no later than six (6) months after the end of the entity’s fiscal year.

State Financial Assistance

Public Act 24-132 revised requirements under the State Single Audit Act including the thresholds for the requirement of a state single audit:

  • For fiscal years beginning on or after July 1, 2024, entities that have expenditures of state financial assistance $500,000 or more are required to have a state single audit.
  • For fiscal years beginning prior to July 1, 2024, entities that have expenditures of state financial assistance $300,000 or more are required to have a state single audit.
  • Entities receiving state financial assistance that do not meet the applicable expenditure threshold must submit an Audit Exemption Notification to the Office of Internal Audit and the Office of Policy and Management (OPM) no later than sixty (60) days subsequent to the entity’s fiscal year end.
