Bridging Plans to Practice: A Process to Self-Assess Full Implementation of Connecticut Approved K–3 Reading Curriculum Models or Programs
This tool assists districts and schools with reflecting upon the following five key criteria, thereby maximizing their efforts toward full, effective implementation of Connecticut Approved K-3 Reading Curriculum Models or Programs:
- Literacy Leadership Systems and Structures;
- Implementation of a CT Approved K-3 Reading Curriculum Model or Program;
- Transformational K–3 Literacy Professional Learning;
- Actionable Literacy Assessment and Data-Driven Decision Making; and
- Engaged Families and Communities.

Districts and Charter Schools shall provide this short questionnaire to families of K–3 students during the 2025–2026 school year. You will find:
- the questionnaire;
- frequently asked questions;
- sample letter to families (English, Spanish, Portuguese); and
- link to informational webinars in January 2026.

CSDE English Learner and Multilingual Learner Framework
This framework:
