Innovative Energy Solutions Program
Program Overview
The Connecticut Innovative Energy Solutions (IES) Program was established through PURA Docket No. 17-12-03RE05, PURA Investigation into Distribution System Planning of the Electric Distribution Companies – Innovative Technology Applications and Programs, and is designed to identify, pilot, and scale innovative technologies that help enable a reliable, affordable, decarbonized, and equitable electric grid for Connecticut.
The first IES Program Cycle launched on January 20, 2023, by soliciting concept proposals from innovators. The fourth IES Program Cycle is now open, with applications due in early 2026. Visit the IES Portal for updates on future funding rounds.
