Revaluation Years by Municipality

A revaluation program is undertaken to secure a more equitable distribution of the tax burden, to bring the assessment level up to date, and to modernize assessment procedures. The purpose is to ensure uniformity in real property valuations by eliminating inequities that may have developed since the previous revaluation.

Each municipality shall implement a revaluation not later than the first day of October and every five years thereafter, in accordance with a revaluation date schedule prescribed by the secretary for each revaluation zone.
