In February of 2019, SB 880 - AN ACT INCREASING FAIRNESS AND TRANSPARENCY IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM [CSG Link to SB 880] was referred to the Joint Committee on Judiciary. In July of 2019, SB 880 was passed and became PA 19-59 - AN ACT INCREASING FAIRNESS AND TRANSPARENCY IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM [CGS Link to PA 19-59]. This law required OPM to submit a report to the Criminal Justice Commission in July 2020 and annually thereafter.
