The State of Connecticut Annual Correctional Population Forecast Report is published in response to the statutory requirements outlined in Public Act 05-249 that created the Criminal Justice Policy and Planning Division (CJPPD) within the Office of Policy and Management (OPM). These requirements tasked the Division with developing annual population projections for Connecticut’s correctional system for planning purposes. Public Act 07-217 changed the annual reporting deadline from November 1^st to February 15^th, effective July 12, 2007 and has been codified within the Connecticut General Statutes Title 4, Chapter 50, §4-68n.
