How do I apply for a curriculum specialist position in CT?

Connecticut’s Office of Higher Education (OHE) is hiring curriculum specialists for CT-based career schools.

Apply to be a curriculum specialist.

What does a curriculum specialist do?

OHE conducts evaluations of private career schools to determine if they are in compliance with the Connecticut regulations. The evaluations are conducted by an evaluation team, which includes a member (curriculum specialist) that has experience in each of the occupations taught at the school. The evaluations include a visit to the school and these specialists will assess the schools' curriculum and teaching materials.

The curriculum specialist position is an ad hoc position, not a full or part-time one.

If you meet State requirements, OHE will contact you about an interview and provide more details about the role.

If you are qualified, you will be added to a roster of approved specialists. When a school within your area of expertise requires a curriculum review, you will be contacted to set up a date and a time that works for all parties.

All non-State employee specialists will be eligible for a $350.00 stipend per visit from the State. The cost of travel for the specialist is also covered by the visited school.
