Candidates who successfully complete all ARC Program and certification requirements are recommended for the 90-day Temporary Teaching Certificate issued by Connecticut’s State Department of Education.

On February 13, 2023, the Accreditation Council for CAEP granted Probationary Accreditation for ARC due to the need for growth in Standard 4. CAEP will return to ARC in the fall of 2024 to gather evidence of improved stipulations cited.

While on probation, ARC can still conduct its program and prepare ARC candidates for certification. However, it cannot offer any new certification areas until ARC meets proficiency in all areas.

Our programs will be reviewed again in 2025 by the CSDE and CBOE. ARC’s initial certification programs were rated on the probationary level by the CSDE and granted Probationary Accreditation on September 6th, 2023, by the Connecticut Board of Education.

Probationary Accreditation is granted when the Accreditation Council determines that an educator preparation provider (EPP) does not meet one (1) of the CAEP standards.

Please see Accreditation Policy 5.14 (b) Decisions to learn about CAEP accreditation status and policies.
