Gov. Malloy Announces Revised Executive Order Resource Allocation Plan
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced revisions to the Executive Order Resource Allocation Plan, along with new municipal aid distributions associated with the plan. The changes accommodate the restoration of $40 million to private, nonprofit health and human service providers, prioritizing education funding to communities with the highest student needs by holding harmless the 30 Alliance Districts, and $60 million of other adjustments that must be made to ensure that the state lives within its limited means under the executive order.

Gov. Malloy Announces CTtransit Bus Service Will Expand to the UConn Storrs Campus Beginning August 13
Governor Dannel P. Malloy and Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) Commissioner James P. Redeker today announced that beginning August 13, the existing CTtransit bus route that services destinations between Hartford and Tolland is expanding further east and will now include new stops in Storrs. The route extension will – for the first time ever – provide UConn students, faculty, and staff the ability to connect to the main UConn campus in Storrs, the downtown Hartford campus, and UConn Health in Farmington via public transit, in addition to a wide variety of other destinations in between.

Governor Dannel P. Malloy and state emergency management officials are reminding Connecticut residents that as the height of the Atlantic Hurricane Season approaches, people should take needed steps to prepare for any type of severe weather that may impact the state. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, with the principle threat period for Connecticut occurring between mid-August and mid-October.
