The Connecticut Office of State Ethics practices and promotes the highest ethical standards and accountability in state government by providing education and legal advice, ensuring disclosure, and impartially enforcing the Codes of Ethics.     

    

 

Congratulations on your recent appointment and for serving the State of Connecticut.        

As a public official you are bound by the State Code of Ethics.  Please find below information that will provide you with an introduction to the Code of Ethics and how it applies to you in your position.                      

Individuals appointed to serve on State boards, offices and commissions may be required to file annual Statements of Financial Interests (“SFIs”) with the Office of State Ethics.  This requirement may apply to appointed public officials who do not receive compensation from the State.

 

Statements of Financial Interests - New Appointment

A person who assumes a position which requires the filing of a Statement of Financial Interests after March 31, 2021, shall file a Statement of Financial interests for calendar year 2020 within 30 days of assuming such position.
