Information about Freedom of Information Act Requests

Overview

  • The Department recommends that requests for documents under the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act be made to our records center. Go to GovQA to submit your request.

  • FOIA requests from members of the news media may be made to the DSS Communications Office at Jalmar.DeDios@ct.gov or Christine.Stuart@ct.gov.  Note: The great majority of news media requests for information are fulfilled without FOIA involvement.

  • Requests for documents or records involving specific clients or former clients of DSS may be made to the DSS Privacy Officer at PrivacyOfficer.DSS@ct.gov or 1-860-424-5235.
