The Federal Government has reopened COVIDtests.gov. Every household can order four over-the-counter COVID-19 tests for free. These tests are intended for use throughout the 2024 holiday season to detect currently circulating COVID-19 variants. Please visit COVIDtests.gov for your free test.

How to Request NBS Results - For Parents

Newborn Screening results are automatically sent to the submitter of the dried blood spot specimen.  In the majority of cases, this will be the birth hospital.  The easiest way to obtain your child's newborn screening results is to contact your child's primary care provider.  If the practice does not already have the results in the child's medical record, ask your provider to submit a request to the Newborn Screening Tracking Program (also see How to Request NBS Results - For Providers).  You may also complete this form and submit it by fax, email, or mail according to the instructions found on page 2 of the form.

**Please note that the State Laboratory does not conduct Newborn Screening for Cystic Fibrosis (CF).  CF results are available by contacting the UConn CF Lab Program at 860-679-4439 or the Yale CF Laboratory at 203-688-9884.
