Welcome to the webpage for Project 0057-0123,  Replacement of Bridge No. 00293 over Bishop Crossing Road, in the Town of Griswold.

A public informational meeting for the project will be held on Wednesday, October 25 at 7:00 p.m. in Griswold Town Hall

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the community an opportunity to learn about the proposed project and allow an open discussion of any views and comments concerning the proposed improvements. A Q&A session will immediately follow the presentation.

The purpose of the project is to replace the existing bridge. Replacement is required based on the findings of the latest Bridge Inspection Report.  The proposed structure is a single span steel girder superstructure with curb-to-curb width of 102 feet 2 inches and a span length of 68 feet. The superstructure will be supported on GRS-IBS abutments.

Right-of-way impacts associated with the proposed project are not anticipated.

Construction is anticipated to begin SPRING 2026 based on the availability of funding, acquisition of rights of way, and approval of permit(s).  The estimated construction cost for this project is approximately $10.2 million. This project is anticipated to be undertaken with 90% federal funds and 10% state funds.
