Forensic Lab Expands Testing

The State Forensic Laboratory has added kiosks across Connecticut, allowing for rapid testing of ballistic crime scene evidence using the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network. This is generating thousands of new investigative leads and helping law enforcement target the most serious violent crime.

Making CT’s Presidential Election Safe and Secure

The Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security along with Gov. Ned Lamont and the Secretary of the State brought together 147 municipalities on June 12 to prepare for any unexpected events on election day.

U.S. Attorney Ends Traffic Stop Data Investigation

The U.S. Department of Justice has informed DESPP that it has ended a probe into the collection of traffic stop data by the Connecticut State Police. The investigation has ended with no criminal charges, Gov. Ned Lamont said. Click to watch the news conference.
