Below is a provisional copy of Connecticut's 2025 Wildlife Action Plan. The Plan was submitted to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for approval in September 2025. A finalized version of the Plan will be published here following approval, which may take several months.
The 2025 Connecticut Wildlife Action Plan
Connecticut’s 2025-2035 Wildlife Action Plan was developed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) in collaboration with species experts, including input from Tribal Nations, conservation partners, and the public. Every 10 years, CT DEEP leads a review and revision of Connecticut's Wildlife Action Plan. The 2025 Wildlife Action Plan identifies Species of Greatest Conservation Need (SGCN), key habitats, priority issues, and conservation actions for wildlife in Connecticut. Let's see what we can accomplish together from now until the next revision in 2035!
