Emergency Burn Ban In Effect 10/26/24 - An emergency burn ban is now in effect for all Connecticut State Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Management areas, prohibiting the use of all outdoor grills, firepits, and campfires, and the kindling and use of flame outdoors. DEEP and local agencies are working to contain several active fires across the state. Please avoid all affected State Parks and Forests, as well as the blue-blazed Mattabesett Trail. The Enduro Trail in Voluntown and portions of North Stonington within the Pachaug State Forest are closed at this time. Please note that today's forest fire danger report remains at an 'extreme' level. More information about the current fire danger, burn ban and recommended safety measures can be found here

Remediation Division Documents

All Remediation Division Files have been removed from the file room and have been scanned and uploaded to the DEEP Document Online Search Portal

Best Method to Search for DocumentsPhoto of remediation files

Before searching for documents in the portal, look for your site on the Contaminated or Potentially Contaminated Sites List, on the Connecticut Open Data webpage, which is updated weekly. This will indicate whether the Remediation Division has information on your site and the Rem ID, Site Name, and Address under which information was filed. You can then use that information to find the site in the Document Search Portal.

See Tips for Searching the Online Document Portal

If, after checking the Contaminated Sites List, there is a file you think is missing or if you find a document misfiled, please contact Joanna Burnham.

Please note: Information on this page pertains only to Remediation Division documents.  Files for other DEEP Programs may still be available only in the DEEP Environmmental Quality Records Center
