Emergency Burn Ban In Effect 10/26/24 - An emergency burn ban is now in effect for all Connecticut State Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Management areas, prohibiting the use of all outdoor grills, firepits, and campfires, and the kindling and use of flame outdoors. DEEP and local agencies are working to contain several active fires across the state. Please avoid all affected State Parks and Forests, as well as the blue-blazed Mattabesett Trail. The Enduro Trail in Voluntown and portions of North Stonington within the Pachaug State Forest are closed at this time. CT DEEP Announces Opening of the Branford River State Boat Launch in Branford

Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced that the State Boat Launch located on the Branford River in Branford will reopen for boating use on Saturday, July 29, 2017. 
The launch has been closed while undergoing a major renovation.  The new launch area now includes a two lane, grooved, concrete slab ramp with concrete pavers to prevent erosion; a regraded parking lot, paved turning area; and an ADA accessible floating dock system to facilitate the safe and efficient launching and retrieval of boats.
The popular State Boat Launch is located at 38 Goodsell Point Road in Branford, Connecticut.
