The ORLP Program offers a unique opportunity for large-scale acquisition or development of recreational in qualifying urban areas serving a population of 25,000 or more. Interested parties are encouraged to read the full Request for Proposals (RFP) as well as the Federal Notice Of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). DEEP is committed to helping applicants produce complete and high-quality applications for submission to NPS. Applicants are encouraged to reach out at their earliest opportunity to DEEP to inform them of their intent to apply, as well as with any questions that may arise during the application process. Note that this Program has a 5-year schedule with a set batched application date of September 1st. New applications submitted after the batching date will be submitted with the next group of applications.
- As applications are submitted to NPS by the State. The State’s deadline is earlier than the Federal ORLP submission deadline.

- Minimum request: $300,000
- Maximum request: $15,000,000
- Recurring Proposal Due Date:
- 11:59 PM, September 01st, annually through 2031
- DEEP Final Selection of Projects to be Submitted to NPS:
- By or Before September 25th
- DEEP Submittal to NPS Deadline: November 1st, recurring through 2031

Submissions should be submitted to the Land Acquisition and Management Unit at CT DEEP. Please send completed applications and attachments to Cameron.Clegg@ct.gov
