The Land and Water Conservation Fund: Outdoor Recreation and Legacy Partnership Program
The ORLP Program offers a unique opportunity for large-scale acquisition or development of recreational facilities to service distressed communities. Interested parties are encouraged to read the full Request For Proposals (RFP) as well as the Notice Of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) linked here. DEEP is committed to helping applicants produce complete and high-quality applications for submission to NPS. Applicants are encouraged to reach out at their earliest opportunity to DEEP to inform them of their intent to apply, as well as with any questions that may arise during the application process. Note that this Program has a 5-year schedule with set cutoff application dates. Applications submitted after the cutoff date will be submitted with the next group of applications.
- As applications are submitted to NPS by the State. The State’s deadline is earlier than the Federal ORLP submission deadline.

- Recurring Proposal Due Dates:
- 11:59 PM, April 01, for June NPS cutoff; and
- 11:59 PM, September 01, for November NPS cutoff
- DEEP Final Selection of Projects to be Submitted to NPS:
- By or Before April 22, 2025 for June cutoff; and
- By or Before September 22, 2025 for November cutoff
- Rolling DEEP Final Submission to NPS Cutoff Dates: June 1st, November 1st.

Submissions should be submitted to the Land Acquisition and Management Unit at CT DEEP. Please send completed applications and attachments to Cameron.Clegg@ct.gov
Application Deadline
Projects must be submitted to CT DEEP no later than:
11:59 PM April 01, 2025 for June submission, or 11:59 PM September 01, 2025, for November submission
