Malloy today announced emergency assistance is available to the Connecticut farms that have suffered unrecoverable losses in production and property damage in 2013 due to severe weather events, including excessive precipitation this past month. A total of $5 million has been designated for these grants, with individual awards based on the number of qualifying applications received by the July 15, 2013, deadline.

  On Monday afternoon, Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that Cartus Corporation, a leading provider of global relocation services, is expanding its headquarters in Danbury to grow its presence in the state after considering other options in New York and Texas. As part of the project, Cartus will retain 1,275 jobs in Connecticut and create as many as 200 new jobs for residents over the next five years.
