Are there other considerations for wholesaling?

All alcohol products that are wholesaled must be (1) brand registered and (2) price posted.  Wholesalers must price post monthly.

Note: Connecticut has a “come to rest” rule, meaning all alcohol must enter into your main premises before delivering to a retailer.

What other permits can I have if I wholesale?

You may have a Connecticut Out-of-State Shipper’s Permit that allows you to import alcohol from abroad directly to yourself.  The annual cost for this permit is $90.  We have two types:

1. Connecticut Out-of-State Shipper for Alcoholic Liquor: Allows importation of all class of alcohol.

2. Connecticut Out-of-State Shipper for Beer: Allows importation of beer.

These permits require a separate application, but applicants should use the same eLicense account
