Legal Gaming in Connecticut

While many forms of gaming have been legal in Connecticut for decades, 2021 marked the most significant update to Connecticut's gaming industry. In May 2021, Governor Lamont signed legislation to legalize online gaming, sports wagering, and fantasy sports. 

To date, there are minimum age requirements for gaming in Connecticut.

  • You must be at least 21 years old to participate in online or in-person casino gaming or sports wagering.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to participate in fantasy contests, purchase a lottery ticket, or play keno.

Sports Wagering

In Connecticut, the three gaming platforms licensed to offer sports wagering are DraftKings (Foxwoods), FanDuel (Mohegan Sun) and Fanatics (Connecticut Lottery).

Online Gaming

Consumers may participate in online casino gaming through DraftKings or FanDuel.

Fantasy Contests

Consumers may participate in fantasy contests that charge an entry fee through DraftKings. You may also legally play fantasy contests on any site that does not charge an entry fee.

Connecticut patrons may participate in horse racing betting, greyhound racing betting, and jai alai through the MyWinners website
