Explanation These two revised policies are intended to guide staff in accepting and investigating reports of educational neglect. In addition, the one new policy clarifies the definitions of educational neglect, truancy, habitual truancy, sets forth criteria to use to determine educational neglect and provides further insight into those reports that allege educational neglect when the parents have chosen to home school their children.
