2. Post-Scoping Notice for Evaluation of Maintenance Building Location at East Haven Rifle Range

Project Title: Connecticut Military Department (CTMD) Maintenance Building Construction at East Haven Rifle Range

CEPA Determination: On July 19, 2016, the CTMD published a Scoping Notice to solicit public comments for this proposed project in the Environmental Monitor.

Based on the CTMD's environmental assessment of this project which includes a review of comments provided by the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, it has been determined that the project does not require the preparation of an Environmental Impact Evaluation (EIE) under the Connecticut Environmental Policy Act (CEPA) The CTMD ensured that the recommendations received during the Scoping period were implemented.

The agency’s conclusion is documented in a Memo of Findings and Determination  and an Environmental Review Checklist.
