1. Notice of Scoping For Ledyard - Water Main Extension to Aljen Heights

Addresses of Possible Project Location:Phase 1A of the project is scheduled to proceed along Avery Hill Road, Tucker's Run and Windward Lane. Phase 2 of the project is scheduled to proceed along various roads within Aljen Heights.

Project Description: Phase 1A of the project consists of installation of approximately 10,200 lineal feet of 16, 10, and 8-inch ductile iron water main piping extending from the Avery Hill Trailer Park to the Ledyard/Preston town line including Tucker's Run and Windward Lane. The project includes water main installation, valves, hydrant assemblies, services, and installation of a pressure reducing valve chamber in Avery Hill Road.  Phase 2 of the project consists of installation of 14,900 lineal feet of 8, and 4-inch ductile iron water mains, valves, hydrant assemblies, water service laterals, pavement restoration, site restoration, signing and controls within Aljen Heights.

Written comments from the public are welcomed and will be accepted until the close of business on: Friday, December 9, 2011. 

Any person can ask the sponsoring agency to hold a Public Scoping Meeting by sending such a request to the agency address below by Thursday, November 17, 2011 . If a meeting is requested by 25 or more individuals, or by an association that represents 25 or more members, the sponsoring agency shall schedule a Public Scoping Meeting.
