Tolland Sanitary Sewers

Notice of Scoping for Tolland Sanitary Sewers

Municipality where proposed project would be located: Tolland

Project Description: The proposed project involves construction of sanitary sewers to serve the Tolland town center, Tolland Middle School, and Gateway Corridor (CT Route 195 adjoining the intersection with Interstate 84). Sewers will address identified and potential water pollution problems due to poor soils. Capacity in the Gateway Corridor will be sized to accommodate existing needs and projected growth consistent with both the town’s and the state’s plan of conservation and development. Wastewater will be conveyed to Vernon for treatment and disposal. The Vernon Water Pollution Control Facility was designed to accept and treat flows from Tolland, and has adequate capacity to do so without need for expansion.
