Post-Scoping Notice for Franklin Water & Sewer Extension

Municipalities where it would be located: Franklin and Bozrah 

Connecticut Environmental Policy Act (CEPA) Determination: On April 22, 2025, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection published a Notice of Scoping to solicit public comments for this proposed water & sewer extension in the Environmental Monitor.

OPM Comments and DPH Comments were received during the public comment period. 

After consideration of the comments received the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection has determined to proceed with the preparation of an Environmental Impact Evaluation (EIE).

What happens next: 
The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) will proceed with the preparation of an EIE for the Franklin Water and Sewer Extension. When an EIE is completed, a notice of the availability of the EIE will be published in a future edition of the Environmental Monitor.
