Project Description: The project involves the construction of sanitary sewers in the Town of Tolland from the wastewater pumping station on Old Post Road, along Route 195 from the intersection of Old Post Road southeasterly across Interstate 84 to the intersection with Rhodes Road, for the purposes of both environmental protection and economic growth. Wastewater from the proposed service area will be collected by gravity and low-pressure sewer and conveyed to the pumping station on Old Post Road. From there it will be conveyed to the Town of Vernon Wastewater Treatment Plant, where it will be treated and discharged into the Hockanum River.

Any person can ask the sponsoring agency to hold a Public Hearing on this EIE by sending such a request to the address below by December 17, 2004.  If a hearing is requested by 25 or more individuals, or by an association that represents 25 or more members, the Department of Environmental Protection must schedule a Public Hearing.
