Evaluation of the Learner Engagement and Behavioral Health Pilot (BHP)

Read time: 6 minutes

This study is designed to evaluate quality improvement efforts of seven identified school districts in Connecticut who will use Behavioral Health Pilot (BHP) funds to develop and pilot test new systems to meet the behavioral health needs of students, families, and staff. The evaluation will examine questions in three different areas: 1) recipients and providers’ planning; 2) recipients and providers’ implementation; and 3) overall planning/implementation impact and results. Mixed methods including interviews, focus groups and surveys will be used to obtain a complete picture of both process and outcome during the two-year BHP funding (2023-2024). Additionally, our evaluation team will conduct a satisfaction survey for districts regarding the process, services, and supports from the technical assistance providers supporting their planning and implementation efforts.
