Description
A person who holds a license to be an infused beverage wholesaler. An infused beverage wholesaler shall only sell infused beverages to holders of package store permits issued under subsection (b) of section 30-20 and to retailers, hybrid retailers and dispensary facilities.
Only a licensed infused beverage wholesaler or the holder of a wholesaler permit issued under Section 30-17 of the general statutes may distribute infused beverages to licensed cannabis retail establishments or package stores that hold an endorsement to sell infused beverages. No infused beverage wholesaler shall distribute alcoholic liquor.
Requirements
Eligible applicants must meet all licensing requirements as outlined in Chapter 420i of the general statutes and all other relevant state and local laws and regulations.
License Pathways and Fees
- A person seeking an infused beverage wholesaler license must submit an application using the eLicense online system.
- Application: Available online on the eLicense licensing system at https://elicense.ct.gov.
- Fee: There is no renewal or application fee associated with this license.
- A holder of a wholesaler permit or a wholesaler permit for beer issued under Section 30-17 of the general statutes shall not be required to apply for or maintain an infused beverage wholesaler license in order to engage in the distribution of infused beverages as set forth in this section and this chapter.
- Infused beverage wholesalers located in Connecticut must also be registered as a Food Warehouse if selling infused beverages to other businesses. The Food Warehouse registration is issued by the Department of Consumer Protection’s Food and Standards Division.
